A scientific practice

Eight years of research taught me how to ask questions. Visualization taught me how to help others understand the answers.

01 · Localized pH

A story about electricity, fluorescence, and the chemistry surrounding a living cell.

Electrical stimulation becomes charge. Charge becomes fluorescence. Fluorescence becomes a local measurement of extracellular pH.

02 · Calcium

Signals moving through life.

Live-cell fluorescence reveals rapid calcium dynamics, while closed-loop control asks whether a biological response can be guided in real time.

03 · Experimental Architecture

Behind every biological measurement is an invisible machine.

Devices, electrodes, amplifiers, data acquisition, microscopy, and code form the physical and computational architecture behind the experiment.

Researcher, visual thinker, and maker.

I am a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My work spans bioengineering, cellular biology, electrochemical interfaces, biosensors, quantitative imaging, and closed-loop control.

I am developing a practice at the intersection of research, scientific visualization, biomedical animation, and editorial communication.
